Mason Holgate, on loan from Everton, played well for West Bromwich Albion against Preston North End at the weekend.

West Bromwich Albion fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Everton-owned defender Mason Holgate against Preston North End at the weekend.
Holgate, signed on loan from Premier League club West Brom in the January transfer window, was in action for West Brom against Preston at The Hawthorns in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Baggies won 4-1.
The youngster was deployed as a wing-back against Preston, and the defender played well in his role, as he made some important runs forward and also helped Dwight Gayle to one of his three goals.
According to WhoScored, against Preston on Saturday, the English youngster took three shots, had a pass accuracy of 63.9%, won three headers, made four tackles and one clearance, and played three key passes.
So far this season, Holgate has made 15 appearances in the Championship for West Brom since his loan move from Everton in January, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
West Brom fans were impressed with the display produced by Holgate against Preston at the weekend and have praised the Everton-owned defender on Twitter.
