Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Heart of Midlothian central defender John Souttar.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in signing Souttar from Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that director of football Mark Allen has identified the 22-year-old central defender as a “top signing target” for Steven Gerrard’s side.

The Scotland international is an established central defender in the Scottish Premiership and is one of the best young players in the division, and the youngster can only improve and get better in the coming years.

The 22-year-old has progressed and developed well since he moved to Hearts from Dundee United in 2015.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, the Scottish centre-back has made 20 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Hearts so far this season, providing one assist in the process.

Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation regarding Souttar, and so have Hearts fans.
