Liverpool earned a vital three points against Chelsea yesterday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke to reporters after his side’s superb 2-0 win over Chelsea yesterday, and shared what he told his players during the half-time interval, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Reds now hold a two point advantage over second placed Manchester City, although Pep Guardiola’s side do have a game in hand over Klopp’s men, and the title race seems destined to go right down to the wire.

The Merseyside outfit have been quite simply brilliant this season, and they have not lost a game in all competitions since January 7th.

It seems as though Liverpool would struggle to break Chelsea down yesterday after a cagey first-half, but their quality shone though in the end, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah scoring just after half-time.

And when speaking to reporters, Klopp shared what he told his players during the half-time interval against the Blues, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“We speak at half-time, we show a few pictures. A lot of things were really good in the first half already. Little problem – I do it again, I speak about the wind – but in the first half we played against the wind and in the second half we had it at our back and it’s a big plus. We needed to be a bit more flexible on the right flank. In the first half we were a bit left-dominant. That was one of the things we spoke about at half-time and it was wonderful that we scored a goal from that situation.”

Next up for Liverpool is their Champions League quarter-final second-leg clash with Porto on Wednesday night, before they travel to Cardiff City on Sunday, and the outcome of those two games could very well end up defining their season.
