Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has shone in Serie A with Lazio and a move to the Premier League champions Manchester City could be on the cards.

Manchester City have joined the race to sign the coveted Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to local publication Il Messaggero.
The 24-year-old joined Lazio from Genk in the summer of 2015 and quickly established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young midfielders with some sensational performances for Simone Inzaghi’s side.
Even though Milinkovic-Savic’s form has dipped this season, scoring just five goals in all competitions compared to 14 from the previous campaign, it seems that there is still plenty of interest.
Il Messaggero reports that AC and Inter Milan are keen while Zinedine Zidane has made the Serbian international a target since returning to the Real Madrid bench.
The report adds, meanwhile, that both Manchester clubs are in the race too with City and United both in need a deep-lying midfield powerhouse.

Milinkovic-Savic is apparently valued at £86 million, a fee that would require City to obliterate their transfer record.
At 6ft 3ins, he is a physically imposing presence with the skill and class of a diminutive play-maker; no wonder Milinkovic-Savic likened himself to Etihad legend Yaya Toure in an interview with FIFA.com.
