Premier League Young Player of the Year Leroy Sane has found himself in and out of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team this season.
Leroy Sane is considering his future at Manchester City after becoming increasingly frustrated with life on the bench, according to TEAMtalk.
A £37 million signing from Schalke in 2016, as reported by the BBC, the fleet-footed winger has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards under Pep Guardiola and was named the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year 12 months ago.
But the 2018/19 season has been something of a struggle despite Sane’s remarkable record of 15 goals and 18 assists. He has found regular starts hard to come by and played just a minute of the Champions League defeat to Tottenham in midweek, having been omitted from domestic clashes against Arsenal and Chelsea.
And TEAMtalk claims the German international will consider a move way from Manchester City in the summer unless he can regain a place in Guardiola’s XI in the final few weeks of the campaign.
Sane’s representatives apparently believe that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are potential destinations while a return to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich cannot be discounted either.
Guardiola has often dropped Sane in recent months amid suggestions that he is far from impressed with the youngster’s attitude.
