You would think an 18-year-old would be thankful for any opportunities he gets at a club with the size, the stature and the talent reserves of Liverpool.
But Rafael Camacho instead took to Instagram to seemingly hit out at the Anfield giants, and potentially even manager Jürgen Klopp, for playing the teenager out of position at right-back whenever he has been handed a call-up to the first-team.
Camacho’s two appearances for the Reds this season have come in defence rather than his favoured attacking midfield role. And, after netting a stunning hat-trick for the U23s in a 6-0 thrashing of Leicester City on Sunday, the former Sporting Lisbon youngster has made the questionable decision to question his Liverpool elders.
Needless to say, this hasn’t gone down too well with Liverpool fans.
According to Sky Sports, talks over extending a contract that is due to expire in 2020 have stalled with Camacho seemingly on his way out. Goal reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in the £10 million-rated youngster.
And it appears that Anfield faithful are only too willing to hold the door open.
Steady on young fella, I rate Gerrard as the best player in our history and he got his break into the side as a RB too. Just take your opportunity and be glad you're getting them.— N8 | Madio Sané (@grubbavitch) April 15, 2019
Probably knows he is leaving and couldn’t care less about the repercussions— Mbl (@MrBooley) April 15, 2019
Stay here and develop lad. There's no better place to be nurtured, loved and adored like liverpool. Klopp loves attacking talent. Staying on for another year or two. It won't do your prospects any harm. Ynwa!— Ronnie (@Ronnie48873077) April 15, 2019
He's leaving guys. Didn't sign his new contract proposal... you don't do that unless you want to leave.— Haydz (@1staz_Br0him) April 15, 2019

This guy just proved he’s to young and immature to get his Liverpool chance, playing on his hatrick for the U23s. It’s the reserves mate, be humble.— Ben (@Ben00238336) April 15, 2019
I understand his frustration but to make it at LFC and the modern game , positional fluidity is important. Trent isn't your usual RB he could easily play in midfield. Firmino , Milner , Fabinho should be examples to follow— HHB (@KingofKens) April 15, 2019
Ye he’s off then— Neil (@NeilYNWA1892) April 15, 2019
