Celtic could be set for a rather substantial windfall – thanks to Arsenal.
Heading towards the summer transfer window, The Hoops are expected to be busy in the market with a number of positions in need of reinforcement. The Premiership leaders need full-backs on either flank while they could do with a centre-half, a central midfielder and potentially a new striker too.
So the decision to include a 10 per cent sell-on clause in Moussa Dembele’s contract looks an inspired one now (Daily Record).
Celtic sold the Frenchman to Lyon last summer for £20 million, as reported by the Independent, and he could now be set for another big-money switch.
After scoring 19 goals in an impressive debut season with the Ligue 1 club, The Mirror claims Dembele has emerged as a target for Arsenal. Needless to say, Lyon’s tough-talking president Jean-Michel Aulas will demand a substantial profit – which means Celtic could also be in the money.
If Lyon double their money on Dembele for example, Celtic will receive £4 million for a player they snapped up from Fulham in the summer of 2016.
That could pay for a new full-back or two.
