According to The Mirror, the Red Devils will try and prise Eriksen away from Tottenham this summer, with the promise of trebling his salary.
The Spurs playmaker has been linked to Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months and, with only a year left on his contract, the Lilywhites could find themselves in an awkward position this summer.
The Red Devils are fifth in the Premier League table and Spurs legend Roberts has suggested that the Old Trafford club are trying to disrupt the North Londoners' form, with stories about signing their best players.

Whether he winds up at United or not is one thing, but keeping Eriksen in North London could be difficult for Tottenham.
The Danish star turned 27 in February and is now in the prime of his career.
If they don't win the Champions League then he might very well look to call time on his six-year spell with Spurs this summer.
Mauricio Pochettino's side are 90 minutes away from the semi-final of Europe's elite competition, after beating Manchester City in the first leg of their quarter-final clash in London earlier this week.
