Rangers reserve team coach Peter Lovenkrands has taken to Twitter to revel in Newcastle United’s win against Leicester City.

Newcastle got the better of Leicester 1-0 away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the match between the Foxes and the Magpies on 32 minutes.

The result means that Rafael Benitez’s side are now 13th in the Premier League table with 38 points from 34 matches, as many as 10 points clear of third-from-bottom Cardiff City – who have played 32 games.

Rangers reserve team coach Lovenkrands played for Newcastle from 2009 until 2012, and the former Denmark international star has revelled in the win for the Magpies against Leicester.

Former Newcastle defender Warren Barton was also following the match, and he has praised the travelling fans and has hailed Perez for his winning goal.

Perez has made 30 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies so far this season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
