The Russo brothers are MCU royalty, but it seems they have some surprises in store.
The Russo brothers are pretty much an unstoppable force in the realm of the blockbuster right now. Both Anthony and Joe Russo are soon to reward audiences for their patience with the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame; it's unquestionably the biggest movie event of 2019. When April 25 finally rolls around, films fans everywhere will be flocking to the cinemas to stand alongside the Avengers. Midnight screenings will be packed out, costumes will be born and hearts will be broken when our heroes descend upon Thanos' farm in attempts to take down the mad titan. Avengers: Infinity War left us shaken, but hopefully, Endgame will leave us absolutely floored.
So, how do you follow up something like that? We're sure that once the credits roll we'll be completely enthralled and ensnared by the promise of the MCU's phase four. However, once we've left the cinema and gotten back into our cars for the tired drive home, the question of the Russo's future will also surely surface. They've achieved so much working within the MCU, but of course, the time comes to pursue other ventures; this is what they plan to do...

According to IMDb, the next film on the agenda will be titled Cherry. The film will follow an army medic tortured by PTSD who becomes a bank robber to pay off a drug debt. Considering the brothers' status, we'd be wise to expect a high-octane dramatic thriller, and yes, there will be some familiar faces to join us.
It looks like some prominent Avengers actors may be joining them on the project, as Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) is already attached. It sounds like the kind of gritty, compelling feature we'd expect their cinematic partnership to deliver in the wake of something like Avengers: Endgame. Yet, they may have something else lined up that really has us scratching our heads.
According to Dread Central, the Russo's plan to remake Tobe Hooper's 1982 horror-classic, Poltergeist. It's certainly surprising news, as the film was remade just recently in 2015, leaving little impression on audiences or critics. It's uncertain how long it will take the project to enter production, so it looks like Cherry is the film we can expect the brothers to release in the aftermath of Endgame's success. With two very different films already on the horizon, there's no way of telling what they'll announce next.
In other news, is a Grease prequel impossible to pull off?
