Neil Lennon is a Celtic man through and through, but is he the right man for the job?

When speaking to the Scottish Sun, Charlie Nicholas urged the Celtic board to go in another direction other than Neil Lennon when appointing a permanent boss in the summer.
Lennon was handed the reigns at Parkhead on a temporary basis when Brendan Rodgers left for Leicester City in February, and he has done a fine job thus far, guiding the Hoops to five wins and two draws in the seven games that he has been in charge for.
The 47-year-old enjoyed wonderfully successful spells at Celtic as both a player and a manager, and as things stand, he seems to be the ideal candidate to get the job on a long-term basis.
Nicholas, however, believes that Lennon should be overlooked in favour of someone with fresh ideas and an innovative approach to the game, as quoted by the Scottish Sun:

“Celtic should seriously consider going for a fresh approach rather than sticking with Neil Lennon. Lenny has a proven record at Parkhead, a love for the club and is someone who knows and understands the business model. I wouldn’t be upset if he was given the job. But part of me would like to see Celtic appoint a manager with a new approach – someone who can give the club and team an identity.”
Celtic are nailed on to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, and if they can win the FA Cup too, making it three successive trebles, it would be hard to refuse Lennon the chance to carry on at the helm at Parkhead.
