The former Everton star believes that Calvert-Lewin can be a success in the long run, but added that the 22-year-old forward needs to be more clinical in front of goal.
Cahill said about Calvert-Lewin on Sky Sports Premier League on Sunday afternoon (1:50pm, April 7, 2019): "He will be a great striker, but he still has to be more clinical."
Calvert-Lewin has been playing for the Everton first team quite regularly since the start of last season, and there have been signs of improvement in the 22-year-old forward’s game.
However, the English youngster does need to improve on his goalscoring record and has to find the net more regularly.
During the 2017-18 campaign, Calvert-Lewin made 18 starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Merseyside outfit, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
