Rangers defender will be out of contract in the summer.
Hodson is a certainty to be released after failing to win over Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.
After returning from injury the Rangers full-back says he is already mentally prepared to assess his future options.
He is currently on loan at St Mirren and wants to finish the season strongly.
Hodson said: "Sometimes you get doubts in your head that teams might not look at you because you have been out for a period of time. Hopefully I will get some interest in the summer now I am back fit.
“But right now, my main focus now is getting myself back in the St Mirren team and doing a job here."
Hodson says he is open to returning to St Mirren on a permanent basis.
He added: "I would definitely consider staying here."
Hodson, 27, is a Northern Ireland international and has retained his place in Michael O'Neill's international squads when fit.
The former Watford defender could of course have interest back in England and its up to him to perform strongly between now and the end of the season to give himself more options.
Whatever comes next, his release from Rangers is inevitable, and Hodson is well prepared for this scenario.
