Forest academy graduate Walker has impressed on loan at Mansfield Town this season.
Nottingham Forest forward Tyler Walker has had quite the season on loan at Mansfield Town, the 22-year-old taking his tally in League Two this season to 20 goals with the only strike of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Cambridge United (Transfermarkt).
Indeed, Walker was named in the EFL’s League Two Team of the Season, being named alongside three other Mansfield players in Mal Benning, Krystian Pearce and CJ Hamilton, the quartet keeping the Nottinghamshire club firmly in the hunt for promotion.
The Reds academy graduate took to Twitter following the EFL awards night, held at Grosvenor Hotel in London on Sunday, and posted a comment in response to Mansfield’s tweet:
What a night! https://t.co/Q1EnPozVUf

Andy Reid, one of the Forest academy’s most successful graduates in recent years, responded to Walker with a compliment which is testament to his amazing exploits this term:

Some Forest fans also replied to Walker’s tweet and made it clear they hoped to see him given a chance at his parent club in 2019-20:

Walker, whose father Des is a Forest legend, is one of three players currently on loan at Field Mill, alongside attacking midfielder Jorge Grant and goalkeeper Jordan Smith, and all three will be hoping that Martin O’Neill is monitoring them closely with a view to next term.
