Leeds United youngster has impressed since joining in January.

Leeds United fans have been left wondering if teenager Mateusz Bogusz could make the bench for the first team this evening.

The Poland youth international has been impressive for the under-23s since joining in January from Ruch Chorzow.

He has been on the scoresheet and set up goals too, but last night he was not involved at all in the under-23 tie against Ipswich.

There are two ways to look at this.

Leeds may have been resting Bogusz, given that senior players like Adam Forshaw and Gaetano Berardi dropped into the under-23 side to get minutes in the 3-0 win over Ipswich.

Or alternately, Bogusz was not in the squad because he is travelling with the first team this evening against Preston.

This is made an even more viable option by Pablo Hernandez’s injury concerns.

Jack Clarke and Izzy Brown both featured for the under-23s last night, a hint they may not be considered this evening. That would certainly be reason enough to promote Bogusz.

Leeds fans are hoping the Pole could get the nod this evening…
