Since the beginning of the year, there has been a number of rumours and nods that have hinted at Joel and Ellie’s follow-up being released in 2019.
Now a Naughty Dog dev has responded to one of the many 2019 release date accusations by telling fans to be patient.
- Days Gone is a “pretty hard” game that demands players learn and adapt
- Square Enix can’t comment on FF characters for Kingdom Hearts 3 DLC
- Shadow Of The Tomb Raider devs think the franchise will continue
The Last Of Us Part 2 release date 2019
Amazon Italy once listed The Last Of Us Part 2 for March 29, but since then the game’s composer has said it’s coming "very soon”, and the highly-anticipated sequel has been pegged for a more realistic launch in October 2019.
Recently, the satirical The Onion posted an article that made a joke about The Last Of Us Part 2 coming out in 2019. This resulted in Naughty Dog’s community manager sharing his glee about one of his game’s making it onto the comedy website.
We've made it when @TheOnion has a comedy post about you, right???— arne (@arnemeyer) April 5, 2019
(amazing! never thought something I worked on would end up here when I first started picking up The Onion in the midwest back in 94.) https://t.co/XThP7IXvkH
Seeing as we haven’t seen or heard much about The Last Of Us Part 2 since its stunning E3 2018 demo, fans naturally asked Arne Meyer when Naughty Dog will finally reveal more and announce a release date.
Meyer’s response was predictably vague as he simply assured fans more will be said when Naughty Dog is ready.
Can't say much, but we'll put new things out when it and we are ready. Appreciate you and all of our fans' patience!— arne (@arnemeyer) April 6, 2019
In other The Last Of Us Part 2 news, the company’s celebration video for International Women’s Day briefly showed the game’s UI for weapon upgrades.
