Sunderland are aiming to win promotion from League One to the Championship at the end of the season.

Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has responded on Twitter to speculation that he has met with a mystery bidder from Malaysia regarding the sale of the English club.
According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 61, April 7, 2019), Sunderland have held talks with a mystery bidder from Malaysia.
It has been reported that the Malaysian suitor has sent representatives twice to Sunderland.
The report has also claimed that Donald has two valuations for the Black Cats – one if the club stay in League One and another if they win promotion to the Championship at the end of the season.
Sunderland owner Donald has strong denied the speculation on Twitter, as shown in the posts below.

Promotion push
Sunderland are third in the League One table at the moment with 79 points from 39 matches.
Jack Ross’s side are level on points with second-placed Barnsley, who have played 41 games.
Sunderland are unlikely to catch Luton Town at the top of the League One table, but they can certainly clinch the other automatic spot to the Championship.
