Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been linked with Swansea City’s Daniel James and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish in recent weeks.

After two transfer windows without signing any players, Tottenham Hotspur may find themselves adding Swansea City’s Dan James and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish to their squad for next season.

Wales Online recently reported that Spurs have expressed an interest in Swans speedster James, who is enjoying a breakthrough campaign at the Liberty Stadium.

Added with that, the Mirror also claimed that the North London club will reignite their interest is highly-rated Villa playmaker Grealish after failing to secure his signature last summer.

Simply put, if Daniel Levy and Co. can pull off a deal for the attacking duo in the summer then they will be buying two of the best talents in the second tier of English football, at this moment in time.

Winger James is now a fully fledged Wales international and has lightining speed that can hurt any opposition defence. Ask the Manchester City defenders who witnessed just that during their controversial 3-2 FA Cup win in Wales.

Added with that, whilst James isn’t anywhere near the finished article, he has some end product and he has the ability to go either way which is difficult for any opposition to deal with.

By contrast, Grealish is a completely different player altogether. The 23-year-old likes to play at his own tempo, he can dictate the tempo of a match, carry the ball from deep and pick out a pass.

Whilst the duo may not be the ready-made players some Spurs supporters are looking for, they certainly are players that can produce the goods at a high level and on a consistent basis in the future.
