Sunderland star Bryan Oviedo has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Rochdale this afternoon.

The Black Cats have maintained their good run of form in League One with a 2-1 victory over Rochdale away from home at the Crown Oil Arena.

Ian Henderson put the home team in the lead after 28 minutes, but Jack Ross’s side restored parity through Charlie Wyke on 56 minutes.

 

George Honeyman scored the winner for the visiting team in the 89th minute, and 29-year-old Oviedo - who can operate as a left-back or as a left-sided midfielder - has taken to Twitter to revel in the victory.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday afternoon, hosts Rochdale had 46% of the possession, took seven shots of which one was on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Sunderland had 54% of the possession, took 13 shots of which seven were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.

The result means that Jack Ross’s side are third in the League One table with 79 points from 39 matches, level on points with second-placed Barnsley, who have played 41 games.
