The Blues defender was part of the side which beat the Whites in the Championship’s reverse fixture between the two.

Ahead of their Championship clash with Leeds United at St Andrew’s on Saturday, Birmingham City defender Kristian Pedersen has banged the drum for his side by harking back to when they inflicted the Whites’ first defeat of the season in the reverse fixture.
The 24-year-old was part of the Blues side which claimed a surprise 2-1 win at Elland Road back in September, the first loss for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the league, courtesy of Che Adams’s brace which rendered Ezgjan Alioski’s 85th minute goal a mere consolation.
Since then, Leeds have gone from strength to strength, climbing to second in the table and boasting a run of four wins from their last five league games, while Birmingham have endured a difficult few weeks.
The West Midlanders’ nine-point deduction, enforced by the EFL for failing profit and sustainability rules, coincides with a five-game losing streak which has left Garry Monk’s side 18th in the table, five points above the relegation zone.
Nonetheless, Pedersen told the Birmingham Mail, also quoted by Leeds Live: “We won against Leeds last time, yes they are a leading team in the league, but my personal mentality is I don’t care. They are not unbeatable and they have lost games also. I think we will do our best to make it difficult for Leeds.”
Here is how some of the Whites faithful reacted on Twitter to the Dane’s comments:
