Newcastle United fans can’t understand why Matt Ritchie does not pass to Miguel Almiron more often.

Almiron played in a more advanced role in front of Ritchie last night, but often the Scot would look for other options.

And Newcastle supporters are baffled over why Ritchie is not utilising Almiron as an option more frequently.

Newcastle were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal last night, and Almiron didn’t get particularly involved in the contest.

The Magpies struggled to make any impact at the Emirates Stadium, as they spent most the contest defending.

Newcastle fell behind in the first half when Aaron Ramsey scored, before Alexandre Lacazette secured the three points late on.

Almiron is still looking for his first Newcastle goal after joining in January.

Newcastle’s defeat to Arsenal has left them in 14th place in the Premier League table, seven points above the drop zone.
