Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez pushed hard to sign Miguel Almiron in the January transfer window.

Yedlin has always been Newcastle’s speed demon, but he now has competition.
And the American admits that Almiron is the fastest player at St. James’ Park with the ball at his feet.
"He is a very, very sharp player," Yedlin said. "He's obviously very quick. On the ball he is a real playmaker who can find the ball in good area. With the ball, he is definitely quicker than me, I will give him that. He is incredibly quick with the ball."
Almiron has made a bright start at Newcastle since arriving three months ago.
Benitez fought hard to bring the Paraguayan to Tyneside, and Almiron is already paying back the faith his manager showed in him.

Almiron looks likely to start for Newcastle this evening, when the Magpies take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Newcastle go into the game as underdogs, but they have caused upsets on past occasions this season, which proves they can be a dangerous opponent.
If Newcastle can pick up a win in London they will move up to 12th place in the Premier League table.
