Everton enjoyed a fine weekend, beating West Ham United 2-0 to pick up a second win in a row under Marco Silva.

The Toffees not only picked up all three points, but also a fourth clean sheet in the last five games as Kurt Zouma and Bernard struck to clinch the win at the London Stadium.

In attack, Dominic Calvert-Lewin led the line admirably once again, continuing a decent run of recent form, but even he will know that Everton are bringing in another striker this summer.

Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse have no real part to play under Silva, and with Richarlison back out wide, another centre forward is certainly needed.

With that in mind, The Sun reported over the weekend that Everton are interested in signing Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, who has been impressing for the Cherries this season.

Wilson, 27, has bagged 11 goals and six assists in 24 Premier League games this season, and even scored on his England debut against the United States in November.

Chelsea and West Ham United are also thought to be keen on Wilson alongside Everton director of football Marcel Brands, though Bournemouth's £40million asking price may well be a problem for some teams.

The whole rumour appears to be a problem for Everton fans though, with some taking to Twitter to suggest that they don't want so much money being spent on a striker with such high-profile knee issues.

Some feel that Wilson isn't better than Calvert-Lewin anyway and the time has simply passed for him to be signed, whilst others backed Josh King or Che Adams as preferable targets for Brands to consider this summer.
