Arsenal are set to make a £30 million bid to reunite Unai Emery with Christopher Nkunku this summer, according to Paris Team.

The promising French midfielder made his breakthrough at Paris Saint-Germain under Emery between 2016 and 2018, establishing himself as a key part of their squad and contributing to yet another Ligue 1 title winning campaign with the Spaniard at the helm.

And it seems that Emery is keen to work with Nkunku again at The Emirates, particularly with Aaron Ramsey’s impending move to Juventus opening up space in midfield for a skilful schemer like the 21-year-old.

According to The Sun, Arsenal tried and failed to sign Nkunku in January as they were unwilling to pay the substantial loan fee PSG were demanding.

But it is reported that The Gunners will now go all out to sign a player who is quickly emerging as their top target. Arsenal will apparently offer £30 million plus bonuses, a bid that a PSG side still under pressure from Financial Fair Play restrictions will be forced to consider.

As reported by Get French Football in 2017, Emery lauded Nkunku’s ‘quality’ and his ability to play anywhere across the midfield.
