Pontus Jansson could reportedly return for Leeds United this weekend.

Leeds United fans on Twitter are excited about the prospect of having Pontus Jansson fit for Saturday’s visit of Millwall.

Jansson suffered a knee injury in the 1-0 defeat by Sheffield United before the international break, and subsequently pulled out of the Sweden squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers.

The Leeds centre-back was originally ruled out for three weeks, sidelining him for Millwall and Birmingham City the following week.

But according to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Jansson could ‘unexpectedly’ return to Marcelo Bielsa’s first XI after a swift recovery from the knock.

And many fans of the Elland Road side are loving the idea of seeing him back so soon. Here’s how they responded:

This would indeed be a huge positive for Leeds, who are third in the Championship and one point behind second-placed Sheffield United with eight games to go.

Bielsa needs all of his best players available ahead of the promotion run-in and it’s a big, big boost if Jansson is fit.
