Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to bring Patrick Cutrone to the Premier League with the AC Milan striker struggling for starts in Serie A.

Filippo Inzaghi has implored Patrick Cutrone to stay at AC Milan amid ongoing talk linking the striker with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, while speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Tuttomercatoweb reported earlier this month that Cutrone was considering his future at the San Siro, having failed to start a single Serie A game since the big-money January signing of Krzystof Piatek pushed him down the pecking order.

Tottenham have emerged as potential suitors for the 21-year-old, who exploded on to the scene at the start of 2017/18 and established himself as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers.

TMW believes that a Milan side still under pressure from Financial Fair Play could be willing to listen to offers of £30 million.

But the legendary Inzaghi, who was one of the world’s most feared goalscorers during his time with the Rossoneri, believes that Cutrone is better served waiting for his chance at the San Siro.

“I hope that Piatek and Cutrone can achieve what I and (Andriy) Shevchenko have achieved with Milan,” Inzaghi said.

“I’m sure they represent the future of the club and the team that (manager Gennaro) Gattuso is forming.

“And to Cutrone I give this advice: stay at Milan, there is nothing better “.

If Cutrone is frustrated with life on the Milan bench, you have to wonder whether a move to Tottenham would appeal. After all, ousting Harry Kane from the starting XI is far easier said than done.

Cutrone has scored nine goals this season, having netted 18 times in his breakthrough campaign.
