HITC Sport understands a host of Championship clubs are checking on in-form striker Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Bristol Rovers hit-man Jonson Clarke-Harris is emerging as a summer transfer target for a number of Championship clubs following his goalscoring exploits, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Clarke-Harris has been a revelation for Bristol Rovers since joining the club from Coventry City on transfer deadline day in January.

The powerful forward has scored seven of Bristol Rovers’ last nine goals in League One and is one of the most in-form strikers in the country.

Clarke-Harris’ goals and all-round performances have been instrumental in helping Bristol Rovers climb clear of the relegation zone in League One in recent weeks.

The former Oldham and Rotherham man has also enhanced his growing reputation with two goal of the season contenders in recent weeks against Gillingham and Plymouth.

It is not just Clarke-Harris’ goals that have brought him on the radar of Championship, but his hold-up play and overall forward displays have attracted a number of scouts.

A number of Championship clubs are expected to watch Clarke-Harris in action on Tuesday night against promotion-chasing Doncaster Rovers and if he maintains his rich vein of form, Bristol Rovers are bracing themselves for offers for the striker in the summer transfer window.
