Young Liverpool goalkeeper starred for Poland’s under-21s.
Liverpool youngster Kamil Grabara starred for Poland’s under-21 side to deny England a victory.
Grabara produced a string of fine saves to earn a 1-1 draw for his side.
He helped frustrate a team boasting Kieran Dowell, Reiss Nelson and Dominic Solanke. He was only beaten by Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin early in the first half.
Grabara has steadily been making a name for himself since signing for Liverpool from Polish side Ruch Chorzow in 2015.
He was impressive in pre-season for the Reds and in January was sent out on loan to Danish side Aarhus.
He has been a regular in the Danish Superliga and last night showed he is benefitted from the loan move.
Breaking into the Liverpool team ahead of Alisson will be tough, perhaps impossible for the 20-year-old.
Yet he could still have a vital role for the club in the future and the Reds need to manage him carefully.
Here is a look at fan reaction to his performance…
Another stunning save from Grabara. This kid is something special I’m telling you— Conor Freel (@ConorFreel) March 21, 2019
Grabara is very good at this young age, what he needs now is game time and not just for U17 or U21s he needs to maybe to to La Liga for some more exposure and come back to challenge for the #1 spot, much like Courtois, his stay at Madrid helped him a lot— Da Joker (@dajoker25) March 21, 2019
Kamil Grabara with another good save. Get him out on loan! #LFC— Scott Preece (@ScottyPreece) March 21, 2019
Was really impressed with #LFC youth keeper Kamil Grabara today for Poland u21’s. Kicking was questionable at times but he pulled off some brilliant saves to keep Poland in the game. Shouts of him being our number two behind Alisson next season and personally I wouldn’t mind it.— Lewis Barton (@LewisBarton17) March 21, 2019
Grabara having a great game against England U21 currently.— (@3randonLFC) March 21, 2019
Fine save from Grabara.— Stuart2Caven™© (@Stuart2Caven) March 21, 2019
Watching England U21s v Poland. Grabara is an excellent keeper and although it’ll be near impossible for him to make it at Liverpool, he’ll definitely make it somewhere— Conor Freel (@ConorFreel) March 21, 2019
