West Ham United's Felipe Anderson is allegedly wanted by Real Madrid.

After a torrid season, Real Madrid are already preparing for a big summer – and that may just impact West Ham United.

Real are third in La Liga, closer to fourth placed Getafe in points than they are to runaway leaders Barcelona, whilst they were dumped out of the Champions League by Ajax.

Zinedine Zidane has been brought back as the club's new manager, and they already appear to be gearing up for a summer spending spree to bolster their squad – and ultimately avoid another wasted season.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard is a known target, but Sky Sports report that a £60million bid for the Belgian has been rejected, with a surprise alternative allegedly being considered.

It's claimed that Real would target West Ham United's Felipe Anderson if they can't sign Hazard, with a £65million move being weighed up by the Spanish giants.

Anderson, 25, joined West Ham from Lazio in a big-money move last summer, and has notched eight goals and four assists in his first Premier League campaign.

The speedy playmaker has returned to the Brazil squad as a result, despite only hitting one goal and two assists in his last 14 appearances for the Hammers.

Unsurprisingly, the rumours have sparked interest among West Ham fans, with many suggesting that Anderson isn't good enough for a club like Real Madrid, and has been 'shocking' of late.

Others feel that he simply isn't consistent enough but should still command at least £75million in the transfer market, with the general feeling one of bewilderment that Real may be interested in signing Anderson.
