The dogs are closing in, Mr. Wick. And the next trailer is now live.
Following on from the events of John Wick: Chapter 2, Parabellum sees titular assassin, John Wick on the run after killing Italian mafia boss, Santino D’Antonio. Excommunicated from the Continental with a $14 million price tag on his head, the protagonist is to accept help from remaining ally, Sofia: one of the only hit people who still trusts him. She’ll be played by Halle Berry.
With the film set to release in two months, 10 new posters for the film were recently shared by IGN, which include portraits of Said Taghmaoui as The Elder, and what looks to be a surprisingly non-comedic Jason Mantzoukas as Tick Tock Man. Aptly, all are titled with the disquieting caption: “Tick Tock, Mr. Wick.” The dogs are closing in.
As reported by IGN, the cast will include some ‘supposed allies’ in the form of Sofia and The Director (Angelica Huston), but mostly looks to comprise the enemies now on the hunt for John Wick. Aside from Jason Mantzoukas’ Tick Tock Man, Mark Dacascos will be playing the furrow-browed Zero.
Meanwhile, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne get their own spotlights as well, in their respective roles as Winston, Charon and The Bowery King.
After the first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum released earlier this year, fans have been hungrily waiting to see more of the picturesque neo-noir. Thankfully, a second trailer dropped today, which you can view below.

Photos and Posters
Shared yesterday via IGN, the new posters give more attention to some of the film’s ruthless hit people. Most surprising here is Jason Mantzoukas, who is mostly known for his goofy performances on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Big Mouth, as well as his regular goofs with Scott Aukerman on Earwolf podcast, Comedy! Bang Bang. Of course, John Wick returners, Laurence Fishburne, Lance Reddick and Ian McShane also get their own posters, as does the film’s titular assassin.
Trailers and Teasers
First up, the new stuff. Ahead of an announcement made by IGN, the much-awaited second trailer for Parabellum released today, giving fans a closer look at Halle Berry as no-nonsense hitwoman, Sofia. One of Wick’s only allies in a world of mercenaries eager to claim the prize for his head, she agrees to help Wick after encountering him during a scuffle, though reminds him that – afterwards – they’ll be “less than even.”
As is perhaps to be expected, the trailer is filled with firearms, throwing knives and very close shaves, and very much continues the films’ characteristically lavish colour aesthetic, with one remarkable snippet set in a bunker lit entirely by neon green strobes. No doubt, this new trailer should offer enough visual spectacle to tide fans over until May.
Following a teaser from Lionsgate, the first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum released back in January, showing our protagonist pelting down bleary, advertisement strewn New York to Andy Williams’ ‘The Impossible Dream’. Now pronounced ‘excommunicado’ from The Continental, John Wick is surrounded by hitmen and women hungry to cash in on his capture. With such the case, he is forced to work with the few allies he has left to escape New York. You can watch that below.
More recently, the distributed titillated fans with a total of eight new teaser clips released exclusively by IGN, which offer a (very) brief glimpse of the film’s central hit men and women. For fans of the series’ affinity with dogs (though don’t worry, no anti-canine behaviour here), Halle Berry features with some German Shepherd companions:
Asia Kate Dillon will be playing The Adjudicator, who plays an important role as a member of the High Table.
Also a member of the High Table is Angelica Huston’s The Director, who definitely seems to radiate a formidable power. Reportedly, she’ll be a key source of protection for John Wick.
One of the main antagonists will be Mark Diascos’s Zero; an assassin hell-bent on killing Wick for reasons of personal revenge.
Returning characters also get some limelight, with spots for kingpin The Bowery King, Continental Hotel owner Winston, and its concierge, Charon.
And just as (and, for some, more) importantly, enjoy Dog in a teaser all to himself:
