Leicester City have Harry Maguire to thank for Premier League record.

Harry Maguire's quick red card for Leicester City narrowly missed out on being the Premier League's quickest ever.

Sky Sports report that Maguire's is the fifth fastest in Premier League history.

However, Leicester did set a record at Turf Moor thanks to Maguire.

His third minute red card meant it was the longest a Premier League side had been down to 10 men, and still won a match.

Each of the teams who had players sent off quicker than Maguire, West Brom, Reading, Birmingham and Sunderland failed to win their contests.

Leicester won the game 2-1 with Wes Morgan scoring a 90th minute winner.

This was just Brendan Rodgers' third game in charge of Leicester, and his second win in a row.

It was not how he will have drawn up his game plan. Burnley have been in good form in 2019, and a win was a strong result.

Leicester are into 10th place in the table.
