Some Villa fans shared their thoughts on how many Championship points they expect and hope the team to get.
With the international break upon us, fans of Championship clubs can take a breather and look back at how their team has done so far, while also casting an eye on the business end of the season.
For Aston Villa supporters, it’s been a rollercoaster ride to say the least over the past few months, from last summer’s financial woes to the underwhelming form that saw them bogged down in mid-table, before a superb resurgence in the past few weeks.
Dean Smith’s side has enjoyed a wonderful March so far, beginning with the 4-0 hammering of Derby County, before the 1-0 triumph at bitter rivals Birmingham City, and then another away win, this time at Nottingham Forest, and last weekend’s 3-0 thrashing of Middlesbrough.
With just eight games left, Villa are now in the playoffs on 57 points and boasting exceptional form, though with just eight points separating them from 14th-placed Brentford, there could be a lot more twists and turns.
Nevertheless, morale amongst the Claret and Blue fanbase is high and, when the club posted a Twitter message about the next five games, the response from some supporters was one of positivity and also expectation:

We can get 15 points, but at this stage in the season, 12 or 13 should be enough for us to clinch playoffs. With Millwall home aswell, I think 5 wins would give us enough as that will give us 75 points- which should be enough this year— LC (@LGC_AV) March 18, 2019
We must win these games to really have that last push to stay in the play offs. Just hearing Tammy saying he wants to play for Chelsea next season and n the prem shows to me how important it happens for us this season. We will lose a lot of players in the summer up to 20.— Andy Taylor (@AndrewT56736681) March 19, 2019
