Millwall have agreed a deal to sign highly-rated non-league midfielder Harry Ransom, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Ransom has been earning rave reviews for Vanarama National League South side Eastbourne Borough FC and his performances have put him on the radar of clubs higher up the football pyramid.

The 19-year-old started his career at Brighton & Hove Albion before linking up with Eastbourne Borough FC at the age of 15.

Despite his tender years, Ransom has made over 60 appearances for Eastbourne Borough FC after breaking into the team during the 2016/17 season.

The versatile performer became the Eastbourne Borough's youngest ever captain at 19 earlier this season and he is regarded as one of the best young prospects in non-league football.

Scouts from a number of Premier League and Championship clubs have been making regular trips to Priory Lane this season to cast an eye over Ransom in action.

Millwall have moved quickly to fend off interest from rival clubs to agree a deal with Eastbourne Borough and Ransom will make the move to the Den.

Ransom is seen as a potential star in the making and Millwall hope he is someone who can progress into their first-team in the near future.
