Sheffield Wednesday's 4-2 win against Blackburn Rovers may come with a cost.
Hutchinson failed to last the first 10 minutes of the Hillsborough encounter, with goalscorer Fletcher withdrawn before the hour.
And asked whether he could provide an early prognosis on the pair, Bruce told BBC Radio Sheffield: "Well, they're muscle injuries. They're groin (Fletcher) and hamstring (Hutchinson).
"It's a bit of an ongoing thing with Hutchinson. It's unfortunate. We didn't think he was going to make Bolton and he did - ran around like a trooper.
"So we'll just have to see how they are. But when they're muscle injuries... not looking great."
Sheffield Wednesday now have two weeks in which to nurse their injured contingent back to a fit state, but are losing several others to international call-ups.
And those players - Keiren Westwood (Republic of Ireland), Atdhe Nuhiu (Kosovo), Liam Palmer and Barry Bannan (both Scotland) - leave with a tongue-in-cheek warning from their manager, who added: "If they come back injured they'll be fined a week's wages!"
Wednesday also have a behind-closed-doors game scheduled for this week, in which Gary Hooper and Sam Winnall are among those set to feature.
Can Sheffield Wednesday continue their march towards the Championship's top six?
