The on-loan Sheffield United goalkeeper is said to have interest from Leicester City, Norwich City and Bournemouth.

Sheffield United must secure promotion to the Premier League this season to stand a chance of keeping their on-loan Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson – as Leicester City, Bournemouth and Norwich City circle, according to the Sun on Sunday (17/03, page 57).

Henderson has excelled at Sheffield United this season, helping the Blades into an automatic promotion place after Saturday’s win at Leeds United.

Chris Wilder’s side are now favourites, along with Norwich, to end the campaign in the top two.

But a late collapse could rob them of Henderson’s services, with the Sun on Sunday reporting that Manchester United will insist that he is loaned to a top-flight club this season.

The newspaper adds, however, that the likes of Leicester, Bournemouth and Norwich must offer first-team action to land the 22-year-old, who appears to have fully embraced his Sheffield United spell.

As things stand, Henderson would have to oust Kasper Schmeichel, Danny Ward and Eldin Jakupovic for a place at Leicester, and Artur Boruc and Asmir Begovic and Bournemouth.

And his clearest path to regular football may be at either Sheffield United or Norwich, who could have Tim Krul as their only senior ‘keeper come the summer.
