Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe is currently on the sidelines with an injury.

Leeds United ace Kemar Roofe has claimed that ‘it was easy’ transitioning from a wide player to a number nine under manager Marcelo Bielsa this season.
The 26-year-old, who is currently on the sidelines with an injury, played in a variety of attacking roles in previous seasons and ended up scoring only 15 goals in two campaigns.
But since the arrival of Bielsa last summer, he switched him from a wide attacking player to an out and out striker and he has not looked back since as he had scored 14 goals from his 26 league matches [transfermarkt].
Speaking to EFL on Quest (16/03/2019 9:05 pm), Roofe didn’t hesitate to answer when he was asked how he has found the change in role this season.
“I think it was easy [to make that transition from a wide player to a number nine],” Roofe told Quest. “We have worked so hard in training, pre-season he [Bielsa] wanted to get us in two weeks earlier just to work on everything he wanted. It’s not just football, it’s education as well.”
Roofe being on the sidelines is a hammer blow to Leeds because they are vying for promotion via the automatics and only have Patrick Bamford to choose from to play up front.

On Saturday, the Whites suffered a damaging 1-0 defeat at home to promotion rivals Sheffield United, who leapfrogged them in the table and moved one point in front.
Bielsa will be well aware that his team still have a lot to play for because there are still eight games of the season remaining.
After the international break, Leeds will host relegation-threatened Millwall on home soil before travelling to Birmingham City and play-off chasers Preston.
