Sheffield United players celebrate after the match during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Sheffield United at Elland Road on March 16, 2019 in Leeds, England.

The huge Championship game between Leeds United and Sheffield United at Elland Road saw the Blades come out on top as they ran out 1-0 winners over the Whites.

In a game with multiple efforts between the two sides but very few incisive concrete chances, it came down to one moment which proved the difference, and it went the way of the visitors.

Chris Basham, playing as a makeshift midfielder, slotted home the winner from just outside the box in the second half after Billy Sharp capitalised on a mistake by Leeds captain Liam Cooper to charge towards goal and steer the ball into his teammate's path.

Leeds had 17 shots but none of those were on target (Sky Sports), with the likes of Tyler Roberts, who hit the post, Jack Harrison and Pontus Jansson all weighed in with efforts, and they finished the game with ten men after goalkeeper Kiko Casilla was sent off for bringing down Billy Sharp.

The result saw Chris Wilder's charges edge up to second in the Championship table with just eight games left of the regular season and saw them ramp up the pressure on leaders Norwich City.

Here is how some Blades fans reacted on Twitter at full time:
