The Newcastle goalkeeper’s agent, Pavel Zika, recently told Ruik that Juventus and clubs in the Premier League are interested in signing Dubravka in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).
The goalkeeper joined Newcastle on loan from Sparta Prague in January 2018 and made the move permanent in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £4 million.
Newcastle manager Benitez has suggested that he is not worried about the future of Dubravka, comments which will allay the St. James’ Park faithful’s concerns.
After all, the former Slovan Liberec goalkeeper has been superb for the Magpies and is a key figure for Newcastle, who are still in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Benitez told The Shields Gazette when asked about Zika’s comments: “I’m not really worried about Martin. He’s very professional. He has to concentrate now, and if he’s doing well, everyone knows he’s a good keeper.
“I can understand that some people are watching him and saying he’s a target for this team or another one. He’s training well, and I don’t expect any surprises.”
