Arsenal ace starred in impressive comeback.
A week is a long time in football as Arsenal proved this evening.
The Gunners fought back from a 3-1 first leg deficit to Rennes after a nightmare in France.
Last night at The Emirates Arsenal produced a stirring comeback.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ainsley Maitland-Niles both scored in the first 15 minutes.
That would have put Arsenal through on away goals, but Rennes got back into the game and hit the woodwork before Aubameyang put it beyond doubt with his second in the 72 minute.
Arsenal were already on a high after beating Manchester United at the weekend. This victory turned up the feelgood factor even higher.
Arsenal are in fine form right now as they try to win the Europa League and clinch a top four Premier League place.
With that in mind their break comes at the wrong time. The Gunners' next match is not until April 1.
Fans will be hoping the players return in full health from the international break.
