Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Colombian superstar.
Liverpool have been linked with a €60 million (£51 million) swoop for James Rodriguez in the summer, according to Spanish publication El Confidencial, and some Reds fans took to Twitter in response to the speculation.
The 27-year-old Real Madrid-owned ace has been on loan with Bayern Munich since the summer of 2017, and he has impressed in Germany on the whole, despite disappointing against Liverpool during their two Champions League clashes recently.
Rodriguez's career numbers make for extremely impressive reading, with 100 goals and 123 assists to his name in 368 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Liverpool do have one of the most dangerous front-lines in world football, but adding someone like Rodriguez would provide Jürgen Klopp with an entirely different option in the final third next season.
Reds fans were split on whether he would be a good signing, however.
The Colombia international is undoubtedly an incredible talent, but would he be a useful addition for Liverpool?
Some of the Anfield faithful had their say...
He’s a Bayern player now anyway. We won’t be interested in him.— VorsprungdurchJürgen (@happydobbin44) 15 March 2019
