Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur will face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will take on Premier League rivals City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season.
The first leg of the tie will be played in London, while Pep Guardiola’s side will host Spurs for the second leg at the Etihad Stadium.
Interestingly, City manager Guardiola rates both Kane and Eriksen, and is quoted as saying by The Telegraph today: “Tottenham I know them quite well, how good they are up front, with Son [Heung-min], Kane, [Dele] Alli, Eriksen behind, his set pieces.”
City will head into the two-two-legged tie against Tottenham as favourites, as they have the better squad and are also at home for the second leg.
However, Spurs have shown time and time again that they can match the best teams in Europe, and over two legs, anything is possible.
If Tottenham are able to keep the City attackers at bay in the first leg and do not concede, then they will have a very good chance of progressing to the Champions League semi-finals.
