Last week we found out that the future of Atlus and Persona 5 will be addressed at Sega Fes 2019, but now we officially know some of the exhibitions and events that will take place at the showcase. None of the confirmed exhibitions point to anything about the mysterious Persona 5 R, or anything about Joker’s foray into the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Colosseum, but the event still promises to be exciting.
From Puzzle Boy to their latest title 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Music and Art Clips, all of Atlus’ packaged box arts will be displayed in one place, and there’ll be a “Classic Game” play area for people to experience all of Atlus’ classic titles.
As for Persona 5, there’ll be a “DJ play area” focusing solely on music from the Persona series, and there’ll also be a “Persona Awakening” experience where people will be able to take a commemorative photograph with whatever persona appears on the monitor.
None of this is related to the expected reveal for Persona 5 R, but a “Persona 5 Mini Live & Stage Talk Show” is scheduled for the Sega Fes main stage on March 31. It’s possible this is when Persona 5 R will be unveiled, and where Atlus will discuss exactly what it is and the platform(s) it will be on.
In other Atlus news, the studio’s USA and Japanese branches have released surveys inquiring about the series’ future, and datamines have seemingly confirmed Joker’s arena for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as well as hinted at the Phantom Thieves’ leader having a female variant. Atlus have also released a new Persona Q2 trailer that reintroduces familiar faces, along with the surprising return of a female MC.
