Tottenham have been linked to ex star.
Spurs sold Bale to Real Madrid in 2013 for a world record fee.
Marca reported last month that Real may look to send him back to Spurs as part of an attempt to land Christian Eriksen.
Guillem Balague told newspaper AS that Spurs made an enquiry over signing Bale on a loan deal.
Sugar sent a tweet to supporters wondering what a Bale return to Spurs may look like.
If @SpursOfficial get Bale back where will MP play him who will get the chop ???? Comments please— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) March 14, 2019
Tottenham fans provided mixed responses, with some suggesting Gareth Bale would only be a bench player due to his injury problems, and other speculating he could revert to playing at left-back.
Bale, 29, is experiencing a down year at Real Madrid but has still managed to score 13 goals.
Only Harry Kane (24) and Heung-Min Son (16) have netted more in Tottenham's squad.
Here is a look at how Spurs fans responded...
Won’t need to play him, he will be injured week in week out— sham (@ShamShamkhan17) March 14, 2019
Eriksen would go the other way. He will go on the Right with Son on the left and Kane through the middle.— Levy and Lewis Out (@RealDGGHD) March 14, 2019
Assuming Eriksen will be gone in the summer then he would be replaced by Bale— C (@ThisIsTottenham) March 14, 2019
If Eriksen stayed and we signed Bale as an extra player Id drop Alli into a CM role alongside Sissoko and bench Winks
Before anyone chats BS about Alli cant play CM check your history!!
It might be feasible if you contributed to some of his wages, for old times sake Al ⚽️— Lee OJ Simpson (@LeeSimpson5) March 14, 2019
