Could we finally be getting more details about Episode IX at long last?

Until now, details and marketing material for Star Wars Episode IX has been kept tightly under wraps; we don't even have a title for the final film in the Skywalker saga yet.

However, that could all change next month at 2019's Star Wars Celebration, the ultimate nerd-fest for all things set in a galaxy far, far away.

This year, Celebration will be heading to Chicago and it was announced last night that Episode IX will be getting a panel of its own on Friday, April 12.

Star Wars fans attend Star Wars Celebration 2015 on April 16, 2015 in Anaheim, California.

As well as several members of the main cast, director J.J. Abrams and producer - and Lucasfilm President - Kathleen Kennedy, will be on stage to reveal more about one of 2019's most anticipated releases.

But aside from the panel, it's likely to be the date when Episode IX's title is revealed for the first time as well as the hopeful release of the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film.

2019's Star Wars Celebration will also feature a panel promoting the upcoming opening of the Star Wars theme park world, Galaxy's Edge, coming to Disneyland California and DisneyWorld Florida later this year.

However, the main focus of the week-long event will be the Episode IX panel which could finally see more details revealed about the finale of the Skywalker saga.

We certainly can't wait to get some concrete news about Episode IX ahead of its December 19, 2019 UK release date.

But can J.J. Abrams' Episode IX live up to the pressure?

Director J.J. Abrams attends the World Premiere of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at the Dolby, El Capitan, and TCL Theatres on December 14, 2015 in Hollywood, California.
