The Canaries goalkeeper wasn't at his best despite his side winning 3-2 against the Tigers to leapfrog Leeds United back to the Championship summit.

The three-horse race for the Championship's top two saw each of its competitors triumph in midweek action as Norwich City ended the matchday top of the table once again.

However, the Canaries made hard work of it on Wednesday night as they spurned numerous chances and endured a nervy final few minutes against Hull City, but ultimately prevailed in a 3-2 win at Carrow Road.

The Tigers began brightly in East Anglia but the hosts took the lead in the 11th minute when Marco Stiepermann weaved into the box and coolly slotted beyond the reach of opposition keeper David Marshall.

Just three minutes later, Emi Buendia tapped home from close range after Onel Hernandez's effort rebounded into his path, but Marc Pugh halved the deficit on the stroke of half time to up the pressure on Norwich.

The second half saw Buendia extend the home side's lead and, even though Hull felt they could have had a penalty midway through the period and struck late on through Chris Martin, the points would be claimed by Daniel Farke's side.

Despite victory for Norwich, some fans took to Twitter to chide the club for having made it so difficult for themselves, and goalkeeper Tim Krul came under particular scrutiny for his display:

Krul was signed under Farke's watch last summer and has so far made 37 appearances in the Championship this season (Transfermarkt).
