Juventus knocked Tottenham Hotspur out of the Champions League last season.

Juventus had to work hard to knock Tottenham Hotspur out of the Champions League last season.

The Italians narrowly won the last 16 tie 4-3 on aggregate.

Now both teams are into the Champions League quarter-finals this season and await the outcome of this week’s draw.

There are no easy ties at this stage of the competition, although some view Porto as one of the easier teams.

Italian legend Alessandro Costacurta has warned Porto are tough, after seeing them knock Roma out.

He told Calciomercato that he believes Tottenham are the favourable draw.

He said: “I hope they don’t draw Porto. I’d rather prefer to play against Tottenham than Porto. Spurs can be more deconcentrated while Porto are tricky.”

Tottenham will have to keep on proving people wrong if they do draw Juventus.

It would be a good test to see how far they have progressed in the past year, but Juventus have an added element now.

They have replaced Gonzalo Higuaín with Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored a hat-trick past Atletico Madrid last night to inspire a fight back from a 2-0 first leg deficit.
