A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Daniel Candeias' performance during the Gers' Scottish Cup defeat on Tuesday night - with several suggesting that it is time to look at replacing the Portuguese.

Steven Gerrard's side squandered the chance to book their place in the semi-final of the competition as they were beaten 2-0 by Aberdeen at Ibrox, with Niall McGinn and Connor McLennan scoring either side of the break.

The defeat looks set to be a key moment in Gerrard's tenure with Rangers. Realistically, the Scottish Cup represented the Gers' best chance of securing silverware this season with eight points separating the side from the Scottish Premiership summit.
