Slavisa Jokanovic is demanding £2 million a year in wages if he is to take over at West Bromwich Albion, according to TEAMtalk.
The softy-spoken Serb has emerged as one of the leading candidates to replace the departed Darren Moore at The Hawthorns with just ten games remaining in the Championship season.
West Brom sacked club legend Moore on Saturday with the club fourth and set for a place in the play-offs.
Jokanovic is a man who knows how to get things done at the business end of the season.
He led Watford to promotion in 2015 and his free-flowing Fulham side beat Aston Villa in the play-off final at Wembley 10 months ago.
TEAMtalk, however, believes that the Baggies will have to pay Jokanovic £2 million a year in order to convince him to take the job; although they are considering meeting his demands. This would see the former Maccabi Haifa boss earn around £40,000 a week, plus a hefty bonus if West Brom are promoted.
The report adds that West Brom will turn to Derek McInnes and Carlos Carvalhal if they fail to secure Jokanovic while David Wagner, the former Huddersfield Town boss, is only interested in taking over in the summer.
