Do Arsenal have one key advantage over Tottenham in reported Suso chase?

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Spurs are battling to bring Suso to North London from Serie A powerhouses AC Milan in the summer.

Suso could be on his way back to England this summer despite failing to make the grade at Liverpool.

Tuttomercatoweb reported last week that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both interested in offering the Spanish winger a second chance in the Premier League and they could be in luck.

AC Milan have no interest in handing Suso a new contract complete with a pay rise that would see his wages increase to £2 million a year. As a result, he could be sold with Milan willing to accept offers of around £35 million.

But could Arsenal have one major advantage? Maybe so.

Because there is an increasingly Spanish lilt behind the scenes at The Emirates in manager Unai Emery and director of football Raul Sanllehi. Transfer expert Monchi is expected to arrive in April too as the club's new technical director, according to The Mail, having brought an end to his time at Roma last week.

Monchi will know Suso well from his time in Italy too.

So you could forgive the skilful wide man for choosing Arsenal over Tottenham – particularly if fellow Spaniards Nacho Monreal and Denis Suarez join Hector Bellerin in staying with The Gunners for the foreseeable future.
