Celtic fans on Twitter want Scott Bain to become Scotland's number one goalkeeper after Rangers' Allan McGregor announced his retirement from international football.

As reported by BBC Sport, the 37-year-old is opting to focus on club football and has, as a result, decided to call it a day, with Alex McLeish naming his squad on Tuesday.

The former Premier League manager has named, Millwall's Jordan Archer, Sunderland's Jon McLaughlin and Celtic's, Scott Bain as his three main men between the sticks, as reported by BBC Sport.

One fan stated that Scotland 'don't need' McGregor, while another expressed his surprise at his decision to retire because he felt that the Rangers man was happy playing in goal for his country.
